Angola Reportedly Bans Islam, Demolishes Mosques

According to several Angolan newspapers, Angola has become the first country in the world to ban Islam and Muslims, taking first measures by destroying mosques in the country.
“The process of legalization of Islam has not been approved by the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, their mosques would be closed until further notice,” Rosa Cruz e Silva, the Angolan Minister of Culture, was quoted by Agence Ecofin on Friday, November 22.
Silva's comments were given during her visit last Tuesday to the 6th Commission of the National Assembly.
She asserted that the decision was the latest is a series of efforts to ban ‘illegal’ religious sects.
According to the minister, the action was necessary to fight relentlessly against the emergence of congregations whose worshipping is contradicting with the customs of the Angolan culture.
Same as Islam, other faiths which were not legalized will face closure of their houses of worship.
According to CIA Factbook, 47% of Angolans practice indigenous beliefs, 38% Roman Catholic and 15% Protestant.

3 Escape Death In Ilorin Trainee Plane Crash

Three crew members on board a training aircraft of International Aviation College, Ilorin, escaped death as the plane crashed during a routine exercise.

The minor incident occurred at about 11.33 a.m. on Monday within the vicinity of Ilorin International Airport.

The college’s Acting Rector, Capt. Nuhu Abdulkareem, who announced the plane crash at a press conference in Ilorin, said it was the first recorded incident since its inception.

Abdulkareem said the three crew members of the single engine Diamond aircraft with registration number 5N-BRD were later taken to the college’s clinic for proper check-up and were certified fit.

He said the college had established contact with the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority and the Accident Investigation Bureau, statutory bodies responsible for regulating aviation safety and investigating incidents.

He said the management of the college was awaiting the arrival of the officials of both agencies from Abuja to investigate the incident.

Amy Robach reveals breast cancer diagnosis on 'Good Morning America.

Amy Robach of 'Good Morning America' revealed she has been diagnosed with breast cancer at age 40.

A TV correspondent who initially resisted undergoing an on-air mammogram is now grateful she did — because it may have saved her life.

Amy Robach, 40, a reporter for ABC News’ “Good Morning America,” found out she has breast cancer and will undergo a double mastectomy on Thursday, she revealed on the show Monday.

“I’ve decided to be very aggressive,” Robach told Robin Roberts, herself a cancer survivor, on the show.

Robach agreed to the routine mammogram Oct. 1 after her bosses and colleagues on “Good Morning America” urged her to get tested — if only to inspire others to have the lifesaving procedure.

Robach put on a brave face on ‘GMA’ Monday, saying she is being ‘really aggressive’ about fighting her cancer.

Robach wasn’t eager to undergo the medical screening until her bosses pointed out that she was “the age women should start getting mammograms,” she wrote on ABC News’ website Monday.
