BURNA BOY ARRESTED FOR SLAPPING A LADY

Nigeria’s music star and Globacom Brand Ambassador, Burna Boy, slapped, poured his drinks and humiliated a Silverbird Cinemas ticket sales girl in Port Harcourt, a situation that even had him arrested briefly by the police. According to the eyewitness who tweeted using the handle @The 7 Day Theory, the singer was said to have had an altercation with the girl and before anyone could intervene, he had slapped the poor girl and went ahead to pour his drinks on her. Do you think that is the best way for a Nigerian star should react in public? don't you think it is time they had some positive orientation?

PASTOR BIODUN FATOYINBO OF COZA ADVICED TO BE SILENT

Following the allegations of sexual impropriety surrounding the General Overseer of COZA, Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, there was a lot of anticipation building that he would address the vivid accusatory revelations made by two women and former members of his congregation against him. However the Pastor chose to take the route of NOT addressing, at least directly the scandal which has held social media agog. Pastor Biodun said  he was sure those in the church had heard about the allegations. He said most of his mentors, even some high profile members from the first world, asked him not to discuss the issues. However he said he would discuss the issue because he did not want to take his congregation for granted. He also addressed the fact that he was aware a lot of people attended the church service just to hear what he would say. He said, “Now read my lips, because I know there are people here that are not part of my church. We are going to speak but we are consulting so as to come with a robust reply. One thing you can be assured of is that my wife and I love you.” He compared the issue with the loss of  a family member and said even then he did not speak. Today’s message which was centered on the adversity Biblical characters like Joseph and Isaac faced can be summarized as “Do not fight your battles!, Let God fight for you.” The theme of the message itself speaks volumes when decoded from its subliminal context. By not addressing the issues, Pastor Fatoyinbo is saying he will not fight/join issues with the women who have accused him of sexual predator conduct. Thus he may never speak out on the veracity or otherwise of the allegations.

Chris Brown,may be recovering from a serious health scare. Reports surfaced Friday, Aug. 9, claiming the 24-year-old singer suffered a seizure early Friday morning.

The L.A. City Fire Dept. received a 911 call that Brown had suffered a seizure at Hollywood recording studio Record Plant. The call was reportedly made at 1:09 a.m. and an emergency team then raced to the scene. When they arrived, however, Brown allegedly refused treatment.

It remains unclear whether or not Brown did, in fact, suffer a seizure.

 Her words in quote "I was in Zurich the other day at a store whose name I will not mention. I didn't have my eyelashes on, but I was in full Oprah Winfrey gear. I had my little Donna Karan skirt and sandals, but obviously The Oprah Winfrey Show is not shown in Zurich."
 "I go into a store and say to the woman, 'Excuse me, may I see that bag over your head?' and she says to me 'No, it's too expensive.'"
 Winfrey says she asked again to see the bag -- a $38,000 crocodile skin number by Tom Ford -- and the woman again refused, saying, "No no no, you don't want to see that one, you want to see this one, because that one will cost too much and you will not be able to afford that."

Winfrey says she asked a final time to see the bag: "One more time I tried -- I said, 'But I really do just want to see that one,' and she said, 'I don't want to to hurt your feelings,' and I said, 'Ok thank you so much, you're probably right, I can't afford it and walked out of the store. Now why did she do that?"

While Winfrey did not specifically identify the shopping trip as a racist experience she told the story during a larger interview on racism and how racism she has suffered..

The talk show host is the first and only female African-American billionaire, with an estimated net worth of $2.8 billion. She said: "I could've had the big blow up thing and thrown down the black card and all that, but why do that?"

Benue State Governor, Gabriel Suswam has disclosed that the ongoing strike by members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities may end in the next one week.

The governor, who doubles as chairman of the National Economic Empowerment Development Strategy Assessment Implementation Committee of the universities, gave this assurance shortly after a meeting with President Goodluck Jonathan at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

He said, “I want to say that we are having negotiation with ASUU. In the next one or two weeks, we should be able to arrive at something that will necessitate them calling off the strike, once we are able to agree with them on all issues that they have raised.

“So far, there are only two outstanding issues, the NEEDS assessment and the earned allowances. The NEEDS assessment which I’m handling, we have virtually concluded. I think by next week, it will be definite.

Telecom giant Globacom, today dropped some of their Nollywood ambassadors after signing new ambassadors from the Nigerian music genre.
The celebrities dropped are as follows;

Ramsey Noah, Rita Dominic, Mike Ezuruoye, Monolisa Chinda, Nonso Diobi, Uche Jumbo, Odunlade Adekola. While Glo still maintained the likes of Chioma Chukwuka, Ini Edo, Funke Akindele and Desmond Elliot as their ambassadors.

Those who were dropped  were asked to reach the legal department of Globacom to pick up their contract termination letters.

Waconzy did not buy a 2013 Range Rover

The news that  Waconzy had bought himself a 2013 customized Range Rover went viral some days back . However, we know from the analysis of some car enthusiasts is ‘not’ a 2013 model.

However, the fact remains that the singer recently added another Range Rover SUV to his fleet of cars. Another fact that can be deduced from the image is that the Range Rover is indeed customised. It is believed that Waconzy already owns a 2008 Range Rover, a Nissan Maxima and another SUV.
